On Hopelessness and Death

To every person who has ever wanted to kill themselves. I’m on your team, fighting alongside you. It’s not very easy. Being home is reminding me of all the thoughts that used to roam around in my head. How painful they were. And self deprecating. And scary. I’m not sure if they’re coming back. I hope not. Maybe I hope they do.

Things that help with depression:

  1. Surround yourself with people you love and love you. If you can’t then just surround yourself with people.
  2. Find a goal to work on. Write a song, write a book, read a book, make a movie, build something, clean something, a goal that’s not too lofty but not too easy.
  3. Journal – clear your head, write down your thoughts, read them, look at them
  4. Talk to a professional that you like.
  5. Practice gratitude. Stop for two minutes. And just think of things that you’re grateful for.
  6. dont die.
